Misery Signals - Absent Light

In 2013, Misery Signals launched an Indiegogo campaign to crowdfund their 4th studio album, titled Absent Light. They contacted me to do their album artowrk while planning the campaign, and with some mild direction on the band's part, I created a few thumbs as a springboard. The biggest point they wanted to touch upon with the artwork was a symbol that could be reduced from the full detailed artwork down into something simple and iconic. With that and the title of the concept of the album in mind, I came up with the idea for a eye radiating light, with a strikethrough on the pupil. The band loved this idea, so I took it and ran with it when creating all of the material for this album.
